Google Comes Up With Exciting News for Broadband Users

High-speed broadband services are the latest technological advancement in the field of broadband network. Google, one of the most popular network service providers, has caused a lot of excitement in the market by announcing that it is ready to provide broadband services with the speeds up to 1 GB.

This will be started in the USA on a trial basis. In the initial phase the company plans to kick-start the ultra-fast broadband network in selected communities across the country. If the trial runs are successful then during the expansion plan the UK would also become a beneficiary of this service.

High-speed broadband connectivity is becoming popular because, with this facility, the Internet opens up for many other high-end uses which we cannot imagine now. Google expects to reach 50,000 users initially and expand its reach to at least to half a million people with this new service.

To make this service all the more attractive, Google is offering connectivity through its existing network facility thereby giving its present customers the option of choosing the best broadband provider from multiple service providers. This arrangement with other players in the market will benefit the consumer because prices will remain competitive.

Taking a cue from the huge potential market for such a service in the UK, BT, one of the major internet service providers, has already offered to give rival companies access to its own broadband coverage infrastructure. This will automatically translate to wider coverage and more users. The latest reaction of the market to BT’s announcement will help Google make the laying of optic fibre easier without the need for paying heavy installation charges.
